Travis Scott has been removed from Coachella 2022's lineup.

Following last month's Astroworld disaster, during which a number of individuals were hurt and some died, the rapper was removed from the list. "Due to Scott's own gross negligence and callous lack of care for human life," fans demanded his removal from the next event "on

Sources close to the situation have said that even though it may be "impossible" to prevent artists from playing at their events, "The festival will not book [Scott] again in any capacity."

In a statement shared on Instagram, Coachella organizers Goldenvoice said: "Travis Scott is no longer performing at this year's festival. We are saddened by the events caused by the artist and team on stage during his performance."

This comes after days of activists protesting outside of Goldenvoice's headquarters, urging them to drop Scott from the lineup. The petition, which currently has over 33,000 signatures, calls for Scott to be "held accountable for his actions." It is unclear who will replace Travis Scott on the lineup.
