To cater to a Dynamic Cinematic Work, Sony has finally launched its FX3 cine camera--that is somewhat comparable to its A7S III. Utilizing the same technology for the 12MP full-frame BSI-CMOS sensor as the A7S III and the same UHD 4K functions, such as 60fps from a full-frame readout, 120fps 4K crop. Like the A7S III, it'll also shoot at 10-bit 4:2:2 in the same range of codecs. Though it is tech-reviewed as a "turbo charged A7S III" and differs only in its usability and body format. For key features, here are several list points below:

  • Full-frame performance with high sensitivity and wide dynamic range
  • 35mm full-frame (35.6 x 23.8 mm), Exmor R CMOS sensor
  • High performance BIONZ XR image-processing engine
  • S-Cinetone
  • External RAW recording with Atomos Ninja 5
  • 4K (QFHD) high frame rate 120fps2 recording
  • Cinematic color science with S-Cinetone™
  • 5-axis in-body stabilization
  • 15+ stops (claimed) of DR
  • Enhanced mobility for solo operation
  • Media: CFexpress Type A / SD card (x2), simult. rec, sort, auto switch media, copy
  • LCD: 7.5cm (3.0-type) type TFT, approx. 1.44M dots, opening angle: approx. 176 deg., rotation angle: approx. 270 deg.
