In a world where new snacks and sweet cereals abound, Lay's has introduced a new product for the holiday season, but it is far from its classic chip option. Lay's, the F&B brand, is branching out into vodka for the 21 and over crowd.
It may be a strange combination, but it isn't far off from the potato family. Lay's Vodka has collaborated with Eastside Distilling to create a meticulous combination of Portland Potato Vodka. For vodka and Lay's potato chip fans, the bottle is a holiday gift that combines the greatest of party delights.
"Portland Potato Vodka brings together two iconic flavors that are beloved by many consumers," said Ram Krishnan, Chief Marketing Officer of Frito-Lay North America. "We wanted to create a premium spirit with signature taste that consumers could enjoy year-round, beyond the holidays."
The vodka has a smooth, delicious taste that can be enjoyed either neat or on the rocks. Lay's was inspired by the creativity of Portland and its commitment to maintaining traditions with its signature potato vodka.
"When we were approached about this idea, we knew right away it would be well-received and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to collaborate with such a fun brand," said Jason Lancaster, founder of Eastside Distilling. "We can't wait for fans to enjoy this one-of-a-kind spirit, served neat or on the rocks."
On average, Americans consume 2.5 shots of vodka per week – which means Americans will be celebrating year-round with this limited edition holiday spirit. Only 750 cases of Lay's Vodka will be available for purchase this holiday season.
This unique collaboration is the perfect treat to stand apart from all other holiday gifts this season. Lay's Vodka is available in stores nationwide for a limited time for $17.99 per 750 ml bottle.Check your area on the Frito-Lay website to see if you can pick up your own bottle of limited edition Portland Potato Vodka.
