Seen on the runway at Prada's Fall 2022 menswear show in Milan on Sunday were special guest appearances by Kyle MacLachlan and Jeff Goldblum.
The actors walked the runway during the finale wearing items from the collection. They also appeared in a video that showed them putting on boots, climbing up scaffolding, standing on a construction platform and jumping into a pool, along with other work-intensive activities.
The collection is inspired by the pioneers of space travel through the early twentieth century. Prada's press release for the show states that it includes pieces that are “designed to fit pilots, engineers and astronauts who were challenging boundaries” at this time.
MacLachlan and Goldblum were at the show as they're starring in a new film directed by David Lynch, only known as "Twin Peaks: The Return,” which will air on Showtime in 2018.
Parsons School of Design alumna and international supermodel Binx Walton was also one of the models to walk the runway. She wore a suit and fedora with her hair tied up in a ponytail.
The collection was unveiled at Prada's headquarters in Milan on Sunday evening, which was illuminated with lights and fog. It's meant to reference the early days of aviation and space travel when “the sky was no longer an unreachable frontier," according to the show notes.MacLachlan and Goldblum appeared in a short video that showed them walking down a runway wearing pieces from the collection with other people who were dressed in similar pieces. They also appeared on an illuminated runway at the end of the show, wearing items like boots and coats.
