"This is the first collaboration of its kind between an artists' agency, a game company and a cultural institution," said Jennifer Stout, CEO of Acute Art. "We're thrilled to have brought together a number of leaders in their respective fields for this ground-breaking experience that showcases the convergence between new media and fine art."

Put simply, “NEW FICTION” is an exhibition like no other. For those with physical access to London’s Serpentine Galleries, the experience takes place in four rooms, each featuring immersive environments designed by KAWS and a portal to the virtual experience. "The Palais Brongniart experience was a dream come true," said KAWS. "Virtual reality is an important medium for me as I feel it really brings people closer together."

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, “NEW FICTION” utilizes Epic Games's massive gaming platform as the launchpad for KAWS' virtual debut. "Epic is proud to support artists who push the boundaries of what's possible in our medium," said Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney. "KAWS has created something truly extraordinary, and we can't wait for players around the world to experience it."

For those with little or no physical access to London, Epic Games has made it possible to experience “NEW FICTION” from anywhere in the world. A dozen epic scenes from KAWS’s digital paintings are accessible to players both during live gameplay and inside Creative mode, where players can explore a fully immersive version of the physical exhibition space. To access the virtual museum, simply boot up Fortnite and select the Museum option found in the Battle Royale lobby."I’m excited to share my newest body of work with fans around the world," said KAWS. "Working with Acute Art and Epic Games has made this possible in a way that's never been done before. I think it will be an exhilarating experience for people and an exciting new frontier in the art world.
