A prolific and indefatigable, multifaceted fashion designer, famously known for his remarkable works in the French house of Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld (1933-2019) started at the age of 22 with a great opportunity at Pierre Balmain for winning in the coat category of the International Wool Secretariat. In his journey, he was able to work also with different designers, including Jean Patou, Chloe, Valentino, the remarkable shoemaker Charles Jourdan, and one of his longest service at Fendi.

He brought energy and boldness that galvanized the runways through his innovativeness, and at the same time, pioneered the use of mole, rabbit, and squirrel skins in fashion.

Lagerfeld then launched his eponymous label, flaunting its exceptional designs for the nth time; the house of Chanel saw his potential hiring him one year prior to Lagerfeld's (brand) launch. In this prolific creator's hands, Chanel was able to bring their vision into new territories and execute elaborative, awe-inspiring runway shows by creating striking settings such as streets, markets, and even once a rocket launching pad.

Lagerfeld has a good eye for photographs and is skilled in doing caricatures; as such, several Chanel campaigns he took photos of were published in art books. One of them was entitled "The Karl Lagerfeld Diet", published in 2004. 

On February 19, 2019, the Fashion world mourned and mounted tributes for Lagerfield; as expressed by severel designers, The fashion world does not feel the same without Karl Lagerfeld.
