Apple is rumored to be launching upgraded versions of the iPhone 13 and AirPods 3, as well as a new iPad Pro in 2021. The information comes from noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and was shared by 9to5Mac , which has also provided renderings based on the leaks.
The extensive report includes details about the new iPad Pro, which would have a USB-C port and Face ID support. The latter feature is said to be available only on the top-of-the-range 12.9-inch tablet that according to Kuo will boast between 10% and 20% more battery life compared to its predecessor.
The other two devices are expected to be announced in 2021 and would carry the iPhone 11 moniker, but they are already generating much more interest.
The iPhone 13 is expected to have a triple-lens camera with LED flash arranged vertically on the back of the phone instead of two lenses and a separate sensor for lighting, as it now happens. The earpiece is also said to be integrated into the top bezel, while there are rumors of a mysterious "function area" beneath the screen with virtual buttons for back and other features.
Internally, the headphone jack is also said to disappear from the device, as expected by many Apple observers. The Lightning port is still on board as well as stereo speakers. Some reports claim that the phone would be available in a variety of colors.
The renderings show an iPhone with no notch, no Home button and thinner side bezels. The back has three vertically arranged camera lenses and above them are two more sensors for the flash.
There is also talk of a 4K front-facing video camera for FaceTime chats. According to Kuo, the iPhone 13 would be Apple's main product for 2021. The analyst believes it would see a "significant increase in shipments" compared to this year's lineup , though he didn't give any figures and the information is only based on his own production predictions.
Finally, we come to the AirPods 3 that would not only come in a new color and introduce hands-free Siri activation, but also see an upgrade to the wireless chip.
It is said that Apple would use a custom Bluetooth 5.0 chip instead of current W1 or W2 for improved performance and longer battery life. This means AirPods 3 should have more than 24 hours of listening time and up to 48 hours if you charge the case.
