Dior has announced that its planned collaboration with Cactus Jack will be delayed indefinitely because of what occurred at Astroworld this year.

“We have decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in Dior's summer 2022 due to respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld,” a representative for the high-end fashion brand told WWD. “Dior has informed us that it will delay the project indefinitely."

The launch of Travis Scott's brand was delayed a week after the release date was announced. After that, it was confirmed by his team that the collection had been mutually decided to be postponed.

Following a number of adjustments and delays, Scott has had to deal with in the aftermath of Astroworld. The new album was slated to be released on August 3rd but got pushed back to end of 2018 instead.

The Cactus Jack x Dior collaboration is also put on hold after it failed to appear at Men's Paris Fashion Week this past June.

This news comes the same day that the Astroworld rapper revealed new merch for his namesake brand at an event in New York City. The new rollout includes the likes of hoodies, T-shirts, caps and more.

The high-end collection included graphic tees with the Dior logo on them, which was called by some to be “disrespectful” to Scott's fans who have been supporting him since he dropped "Astroworld."

The collection has been postponed indefinitely due to the events that happened this year. The limited edition items will be released later next year instead. According to sources, the designer’s creative direction will be changed from an “off-the-wall” style to a more toned-down one.

Dior also intends on working with Travis Scott on a second collection next year, which is set to be released in 2020.We're sure Travis will count this as a big loss for his fans.
