The "hot boy" Bobby Shmurda has been released from prison February 23rd, 2021. He spent 6 years in jail for possession of a fire arm, conspiracy to murder, and drug posession. He also recieved additional time for snaking a knife into jail. He was welcomed back home to loads of new money and already a music video featuring him and Migos.

His release has been seen as a call of freedom in the hiphop community and he is being celebrated by many. However, many questions still remain. He is on 5 year parole at the moment so his movement is very restricted. However, he does not want to go back to Brooklyn he says. The influence of the Brooklyn neighborhoods is what led him there in the first place. He also probably has enemies in New York, so he says he does not want to live there any longer.

Hip-hop is not the same since he has been in prison. Hiphop has changed, so this means he will also have to change to keep up with the ever-more fast paced hiphop industry. Bobby Shmurdas hot boy lyrics and grimey style could still be very original in todays context however but we will have to see. For now we are happy to see Bobby Shmurda out of jail and making a change in his life.
