You might believe that $88 is a lot to pay for just a coffee cup, and you're correct. However, it may very well be one of the most cost-effective goods in Balenciaga's ever-growing arsenal.

The new Balenciaga Coffee Cup is a porcelain cup that comes in black and white versions. It's handwash only and made of porcelain. It also includes a lid made of thermoplastic elastomer, which is an elastic lid that's ideal for on the run. Plus, if you bring it to a cafe, everyone will be super impressed that you have your very own special mug from Balenciaga.

Oh, and here's the best part: you can put it in your dishwasher.

The mug's designer is Demna Gvasalia, who also designs the creative direction at Balenciaga and shows for Vetements. He has a way of making pieces that are very expensive (and very cool).

The Balenciaga mug releases tomorrow on the company's web store, so get your credit cards ready...if you can afford it.

It might not be scientifically proven (yet), but I'm pretty sure my morning coffee would taste a lot better in Balenciaga's new mug.

But, if you don't live in Europe (or want to brave the treacherous trip across the pond), there is some good news...Balenciaga will be releasing an electric kettle next spring.

The Balenciaga mug is currently available in Europe for €65 ($88) in two colors: white and black. The electric kettle will be released soon.

It should be no surprise that this isn't the only piece of coffee paraphernalia Balenciaga has released recently. The fashion house also just dropped a water bottle that looks just like an Ikea one for $95 bucks. Final Verdict: A luxury coffee cup only costs $88, which is pretty cheap if you think about it.
